About ComplyIT

ComplyIT was founded by Chris Allen, Chris has over 15 years experience of working within the WEEE and IT recycling industry. Our management team are highly skilled in providing support and assistance on the necessary legal, environmental and data protection requirements for secure IT asset disposal and WEEE recycling.

At ComplyIT we work closely with our clients to ensure that we are providing the service they require each and every time. We guarantee that all IT assets and data have been handled safely, securely and responsibly and our processes meets all legal and responsible legislation.

Our Transportation

Collections can be made within 4 - 6 working days from across all UK mainland postcodes. Using unbranded vehicles to ensure customer discretion and security. Our drivers are security vetted and all our vehicles are fitted with tracking devices to ensure traceability throughout the whole collection process.

We are able to accommodate loose, containerised or palletised collections and will work with our clients to provide the safest method of collection. The appropriate packaging and wrapping are brought to site with the driver to reduce potential damage to the IT equipment. Vehicle, driver and collection details will be provided prior to ensure access to site with all UK mainland collection being returned to our facility where possible within the same day.

Our Facility

Operating from our recently renovated facility in Teesside, we are perfectly situated with both the A19 and A1 motorways in close proximity. Our 2500sq ft recycling facility benefits from 24/7 external and internal monitored CCTV, security lighting and sounders to both the front and rear of the building and access to the site is through a security barrier.

With a capability to process 1,000's of items per month, we are confident we are building one of the most transparent IT recycling processes within the UK.

Once assets have been collected and returned to our recycling facility it is processed in accordance with a clients individual requirements. At the end of the process and where required, a certificate of destruction will be provided along with a full asset report on the assets collected.

ComplyIT can offer secure data destruction services, either in-house, or at your premises, should you wish to witness the process. Each process is fully compliant with the WEEE Directive and full documentation is provided.

Any client references on equipment collected, such as asset tags, will be removed prior to resale. Should any tags or permanent markings not be able to be removed then the equipment will be sent for destruction.

New and existing clients are welcome to visit our facility in order to satisfy any internal audit / duty of care requirements.

Our Software

The only way, without physically destroying the hard disk, to permanently destroy data, is by overwriting of the data multiple times. This results in complete data destruction with no shadow data remaining on the disk.

There are a number of overwriting standards available in the market. The one utilised by ComplyIT guarantees 100% confirmed security for complete data erasure as it is certified in line with CPA (Commercial Product Assurance), Common Criteria EAL3+ as well as National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). This is currently the highest security standard awarded by the EU for the erasure of data. It is also GDPR compliant.

If for whatever reason the hard drive fails the data erase process then the drive will be physically destroyed.

Based in the North East of England we have great access to and A1 / M1 and therefore able to provide collections on a national basis. These collections would also include any required in Scotland with collections typically being made within 4 working days from receipt of order.
